Marty, Thanks for the wonderful concert in Gatesville tonight. It was so good to hear real country music and to hear of your love and service to our Lord, Jesus Christ. I will be praying for you and your family as you continue to travel and share your gift with the everyday person on the street. I love your dad's music but like you, I love the gospel music and the love you share for our Lord. God Bless you and keep you safe. I hope our paths cross again in the future. Until then, we will keep serving where God opens the door. Thanks for permission to copy your Gospel CD, I will use it to open doors of ministry to those who need to hear what Christ can to do for them. God Bless, David

Hey Marty, I have been a fan of your father for over 30 years. I was sorry to hear of his passing. One thing I have seen between you and your father you both are genuine humble men. Your work in spiritual songs is very honorable. Thank you for your explanation of the Father. We don't have to fear him.You opened my eyes. I hope you have plans to write a book. Hope you will come to Greenville, SC sometime. God bless you and your family.

Loved your dad's music. My deepest sympathy.. Saw a little sermon you did on fear vs faith. I am 76 year old woman with Stage 4 kidney cancer. Had it for 24 years. Cancer now in remaining kidney. Sermon hit me like the little mustard seed. Sure I'm scared. would you pray for me? I m saved. Going to have cryo-ablation of tumor. Like you and your brothers music too. PTL

Thank you again for the opportunity to play your dad's music with you. A highlight in my musical journey. Try to shake that sinus bug, and I hope the flight was easy on your back. Even though we didn't have a fiddle, I sure had a blast doing Farmer's Daughter on the steel. If you are ever up this way again, let me know. You got my email now, so no excuses! lol. Thanks again. Hi Marty I enjoyed your tribute to your Dad that I watched on Youtube.com..I have always been a fan of your Dad's for years. Now I am becoming a fan of you,Noel & Ben.All three of you sound like your Dad when singing,You look like your Dad.I started singing when I was 2 years old, but I never got the chance to become a singer like so many have.I had Foster Parents who didn't understand what my dream was to become..I was raised on Country & Gospel Music, something I drove my Mom up the wall with was me listening to your dad & other Country Singers and singing along. My Parents were Modern Mennonites. I am now 61 years old, & I know my dream is forever gone, but I just love singing still to Country Music.I remember every album your dad put out there for the die-hard Country Music lovers.I have some favorite songs of your Dad's that I could sing over & over again. I live in a small town called Chatham Ontario & would love it if you & your brothers could give a concert here or just even you coming here would be a thrill for me.Maybe I could sing with you...Hope to hear from you.

I missed a lot of the funeral on TV and was wondering if you would mind telling me more about your mother, how they moved a part and what did your dad pass from. I read somewhere that he had lung cancer and wondered if that is what took his life? I hope your music career takes off like your dad's did and you miake it big. Gale Cleckner USAF, M/SGT, RETIRED

My friend and I attended a show given by Marty in Scottsburg Indiana this past weekend. We were so awed by his performance and personality that we were just mesmerized. He was so great that we want to keep up with him and maybe travel to some more shows when he is fairly close by. We always attended all the shows we could when Merle was performing anywhere close by. My friend that was with me used to be in CMA and she thought Marty gave a splendid show. His wife was so sweet and kind. A lovely person. I am so glad he remembered his grandmother Flossies teachings. I just had to write and tell him how we loved him as much as his Dad. Sincerely, Jo Anne Price-Nichols

Hi Marty - or whoever Many many years ago we met you and I think your uncle? when you played a little club called the Hollow Inn at McCutchensville Ohio. My two friends and I had the pleasure of taking you to breakfast after the bar closed (you had asked to sit with us during a break because we were not trying to "hit" on you) which was a nice trait I think on both our parts. We then met you again at Fan Fair in Nashville. I know you will not remember that buy I always have because you were both so nice. Tonight while browsing through some odd music things on my computer I ran onto the memorial service for your dad at a Baptist church that your aunt evidently arranged. It got me to remembering your visit to Ohio, so I typed in your name to see what I would find. I am so happy to see that you are now married and have a child. Also that you are still sharing your talent with music, and you got to spend time singing with your dad. How wonderful to also see that you share your dads love of the spiritual music. Just wanted to say hi and let you know I remember how nice you were all those years ago and I'm happy you are still doing good things. Next I am headed to check out your cd's for sale and make a purchase..

Much love to you and your family during this time. Your father's music was the soundtrack to my childhood. My father was a country boy from Missouri and a big fan of your dad's music. no words can express my sorrow for your loss. He was one of country musics greatest artist. My husband sang country music and he was good, not as good as your dad but pretty darn good. and he sang so many of your dads songs, again not as good as your dad but pretty darn good. I lost him him 2012 at the age of 65 so i know something about the personal loss of someone you love and trying to deal with the loss of someone who so many loved. My husband did not have millions of fans as your father did but he had enough that the church was standing room only and it was a good sized church. i can only imagine how hard it is for you i have not been able to listen to the many cds of my husband. i yet you have the courage to give us the gift of your fathers songs, i know we he reaches heaven bob harris will be waiting to shake his hand again, just like he did in branson and this time i am sure he will stand next to him and sing with him. maybe even sing him some of the songs he wrote, if he can remember the words, God bless you all

Good Morning Marty, We were so sorry to hear about your father passing away. He was truly one of our very favorite country singer for years. We live in Casa Grande for the winter but our home is in Calgary Alberta. We have seen you several times at the Casa Grande Paramount Theatre. I have never forgotten how you talked of your father's life history and then sang each song according to your story. We learned to love and appreciate Meryl even more through your performance. We also love you and your music. I had the pleasure to meet your wife and your son Jamie that evening as well. What wonderful evenings my husband and I had at each of your shows. Our thoughts and prayers are with you this sad time. We wish you and your family all the very best. Hans and Inga Pollhaus

Marty, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family in this time. I met you many years ago in Fort Worth, TX with Kenney Serat. As I can remember at the SMU campus, both you and Kenny performed. Kenny was a close friend of my parents, mainly my dad and I was shocked at this death as well and always loved both their songs. Especially the song that your dad and Kenny wrote together, "There's just one way" to make that trip to glory. My the Lord bless and comfort you in this time of mourning. I told a co-worker that Kenny and Merle are both there in Heaven with the Lord singing praises and the Lord might have that country side as well. Both of them had amazing voices. Sorry to hear about your Dad. Your about my age, I met your Dad a couple of times here in Kentucky. In Louisville Kentucky he was touring with Bonnie Owens. We come from the same Wilson family that left Kentucky during the Depression going to Oklahoma. I gave Bonnie Owens some info on our Wilson family. She came back and Merle said he wanted to meet some of his Kentucky Kin. He gave me a hug and confirmed the Wilson family history. He was a lot like my father who was always a good story teller. My Dad and his father were fiddlers and guitar pickers. My father died a couple years ago and it was like I lost part of my soul. I don't think you ever get over losing your Dad you just live with it. When I said Goodbye to my father his last words were I'll be seeing you and I guess someday we'll both see our fathers in heaven one day. From your Kentucky Cousin Winston Wilson

Marty, Just saw you at The Apache Wells concert. Outstanding show. But your true convictions were very apparent in all you said and did. Praise the Lord for your testimony to Him and your dad. After meeting you I look forward(not right away) to spending eternity with a Christian brother like you along with all my brothers and sisters in Christ. God bless you and your entire family.

I met Marty in Haileyville Al just a few years back. He was singing at church there. I stayed afterwards and talked with Marty for a few moments. He signed my old Hopf guitar that also had his dad's signature on it too. Marty gave me inspiration without eve knowing. I soon followed by releasing my own country gospel cd project in 2012. I would love to send one to you Marty. If you will email me your adress i will get one on the way. You can also visit my website @ www.lancestone.com Thank you so much Marty and God bless

Marty it is great to see you are doing so well. I just moved from South Louisiana back to Clarksville, Arkansas. I am pastoring the same church that you came to about 12 years ago. We have moved into a bigger Sanctuary and would love to have you back here again sometime. I spent Christmas up in Redding with Scott Joss. I preached in Sacramento at the Capital Free Will Baptist Church had a great time. Scotty came and played some fiddle on a song I sang, Also had Tiny Moors daughter that does music there. You may know pastor Larry Condit there. So much to catch up on. I really miss our talks on the telephone. God Bless!!!

I saw Marty several times in the mid to late 80's around Roanoke VA. Actually got to know him and his band very well. Loved the music!! One of my favorites was "I broke the rules today." He had also recorded "Trains make me lonesome." about the same time. Would love to know if they were ever put on an album and if so where can I get it. Thank You, Mark

Love ya Marty! I got to meet you and speak to you very briefly after a show you did in Ardmore Oklahoma back in 1987. I got your autograph and thought you did an amazing show. I've been an unwavering fan of your dad, of course, my entire life, but I've been a big fan of yours since you began your career. It's not an opinion that you have the ability to be an amazing popular entertainer, like your Dad. Your singing, writing, and playing abilities are so impressive and I love your music. I am trying to get my wife to book you for an event she holds the second week in September every year, here in Gainesville, Texas, called "The Sky's the Limit Balloon Spectacular". You'd be amazing and I am going to do my best to get you in as the headliner for next September. Your brother, Ben, is something else too. That kid has got some amazing skills and talent right along with you. It's got to be inherited. You Haggards are just too good. Anyway, I just wanted to send you a word of encouragement. I'm very happy to see that you are a Godly, Christian man, most of all, and I know that the Lord will continue to bless you and your family. I hope that Ben is a believer and that he too will give the Lord credit for his successes. God bless you Marty. I hope to see you playing next September here in Gainesville. Sincerely, Keith Rigsby

Fabulous performance at Sandstone MN. Looking forward to a second and beyond. I love a tribute show that is a "tribute" .... not a copy cat show. Yes, most were "Dad's songs" but it was "real" Marty singing "real" Merle. Many tribute shows are like "imitation vanilla" attempting to be "real vanilla". Thank goodness for e-commerce. Marty, What a pleasure it was to meet and play golf with you last week. I was quite taken a back after your introducing yourself openly to me. Thank you. Getting to meet you and knowing your relationship to such a storied and my all time favorite musician/singer was really great. But more than that was getting to meet the real you. What a seemingly gracious and faithful man you seem to be. Your priorities to me are much as mine with the love for your Family and our Jesus in your heart. Thank you for our conversation. You even left something with me I don't think I'll soon forget. Fear not(365 times). Awesome!! Perhaps we will cross paths again. If not here I am promised we believers will all be united again at our Father's hand. I appreciate your love for the golf game and also your pace of play!!! Grip it and rip it!! Hope you take a few skins from your buddies with the new/old club. I felt after meeting you that I had crossed paths with a new/old friend!! May God continue blessing you and yours. T.J. Jordan

I wish you could have known him he had a one on one ministry and was a moderator on TheironDen.com He went by the name of Shine,...they are weight lifters and born again beleivers. Wish you could put those songs on youtube,...there is a whole lot of people that need to hear those songs. I thank you for recording them, and if you have anymore of that Ready or Not...Here He Comes CD's, I will buy them from you,...Michael has a lot of friends and relatives that would like to have this. Came to see you in Branson last year. Was the best show of our visit. Called to see you again this year and was so sorry to learn that you are not going to be there this year. Talked to your keyboard player after the show in the parking lot and he was so kind to tell how he played with your dad etc. When you and I spoke in the lobby, I told you that your guitar man was one of the best and I have performed with many. Thanks again for a great time in Branson. Sure will miss seeing you there!

I saw Marty's concert on Feb. 17, 2012 and I was so impressed. I felt like I was back in time, when musicians came out and talked to people, shook their hands, signed autographed pictures, thanked people for coming out, took requests, and just acted genuinely nice. It was so refreshing. I will be back in April with alot of my friends to see him again, and I sure hope he sings "Trains Make Me Lonesome". I love that song. Thanks so much for the wonderful night that I will never forget.

I have never commented via E-mail to anyone's website, but I felt compelled to convey how much we enjoyed your performance and the facts and personal memories that you shared with the audience in Casa Grande, AZ. It was great to watch you're Dad's performances on video and it was an excellent intro to your show. I invited three friends that were not familiar with your Dad's music/career and they were so impressed with you, your musicians, the show you put on and your approachability. They continued their evening listening to your CD. We all had an evening that we will never forget. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Hey Marty Many thanks for the CDs I got today. I am the biggest fan of your father here in Norway, have all his LPs from the first to the last. I started in 1965 and buying his first. Also has a large collection of CDs that have come out. In 2007 we were on holiday in the United States, and attended a concert in Lake Charles Louisiana. Going on a vacation trip to the United States between July and August this year, so I hope I can get a concert with you. Have added a Concert with your father in Our route. Nothing is as real Country Music. Regards From real contry fans from Norway
